peace hawk dived war vulture.
war vulture feigned blood spurt with catsup. made of cats.
up went profit man to squeegee the pearly gates
of prophets that kept peace hawk kibbled on dividends,
while war vulture needed barrows of giblets,
all quite: standard.

feathers were lost, medals traded.
meals were deducted, entrails protracted.
cousins were fathered, interruptions extinguished.
language was passed thru channels
long since ex communicated with reality.
grounded, one stares at feathers and invariably one's feed.

first eyes were pecked
then the thighs or neck in a flurry of sightless battle
vulture war and hawk peace
had a baby. it shot itself before
it aborted itself to save itself.
vulture peace.
