Same old ocean

On the shores of Corfu from Brindisi we drank ouzo and got rooms at the pink palace the beach rooms past cheap

On isla mujeres my hammock only yards away from coconut trees and waters only matched by Corfu

The Oaxaca ocean fierce we nude sunbathed as tides pulled less prudent swimmers out in undertow

Toward Maui the black rock pebbles sorting babies out into grains of the darkest glittering sand

The pockets get heavy

Collecting, keeping these treasures

The California ocean beaches so varied

Up and down every inch we drove and swam

The Oregon rivers great and smaller lending ocean what exchanges sun and moon require

Waves burst out of volcanic formations we'd teeter around risking it all

The placid beaches so many vacations play sand frisbee and unicorn horn sweet

The coasts of Washington with driftwood blocking even mountains collapse into surf, logs thick ancient entwined with one another

Leaping off cliffs 40 feet  plunge north of Seattle

around the San Juans by ferry another fine stone collecting endeavor and food with gone friends

Swimming there in Isla mujeres with snorkel the fish one only sees in magazines or television stupor

Monterrey, San Clemente, Mendocino, Carmel, Point Reyes

The waters around long island

It was awhile back even further back on a summer drive to the Smithsonian we ate crabs using mallets

In Galveston the jelly fish stings

A different same ocean all around

The wharves in Newport with fat seals hogging the dock belching for cameras

Ireland ocean Rosslare the English channel via hovercraft

Same thing all around

SE Portland

Landlocked
