She found it blue battered
A blue whale bruised and flour dressed
On the ladders plate a home run
Entrée fit for most queens
Back in her bay wrapped in sleep
His fluke no mistook the reef
Breaching for coffee after
Laps around the moon
All gravity the brows joined silence
She pound the pillow soft as waves sculpt
The sure shoreline senseless,
Finally
--------
A grieving orca
Pushes the corpse out
Thru choppy waves
For a week
As her pod departs
