Chimney repair, mortar burns, cinder block walls 2017

precarious work, replacing loose bricks at the top.

rotten rail for the first half a year in my rental home, a 20 foot drop to the concrete yard below.

mold for months and months in an otherwise nice home.

Mortar contact burn injury, from the first day laying blocks, doing all the mixing, doing it all myself, under the pressure from landlord/boss hovering and being uptight. got bad mortar burns on my left wrist also; both hips with the same injured area from working without a belt that day and pulling my pants up, getting mortar on the skin, and not taking the time to  wash it off.

ate the skin away, painful for a month. still have the scars today, from this injury 5 months ago.

word to the wise:  don't be in a hurry doing dangerous work, or be pressured to ignore safety.
