Trumper Democrats Manchin, Doug Jones, Kyrsten Sinema
"In chairs in the back, reserved for staffers, Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) sat with freshman Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.), a moderate not prone to listening to leadership.
Joe Manchin III (W.Va.), a Democrat always in the mix, first huddled with moderate Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) before moving on to a long one-on-one discussion with Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), another key moderate who had previously been talking with Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.)."

"Several key Democrats, including Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Doug Jones of Alabama, have left open the possibility that they might acquit Trump on either of the two charges -- abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Moreover,
Democrats are looking closely at Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, a freshman from Arizona, who has refused to repeatedly to discuss her thinking during the trial."

David Boren and progressive politics in the Bible Oil Belt
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Boren
"Boren was born in Washington, D.C., the son of Christine (née McKown) and Lyle Hagler Boren. He graduated in 1963 from Yale University, where he majored in American history, graduated in the top one percent of his class and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
He was a member of the Yale Conservative Party, elected president of the Yale Political Union and is a member of Skull and Bones."
________
Sen. Barry Goldwater (R-AZ), who served with him, publicly stated that Boren should be elected president.[32] Boren's chief of staff was a respected Capitol Hill insider, Charles Ward, a former longtime administrative assistant to Speaker Albert.[citation needed]
Boren served on the Senate Committee on Finance and the Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry.[33] He also served as chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence from 1987 to 1993.[33] His six years is the longest tenure for a Senate Intelligence Committee chairman, tied with Dianne Feinstein. Boren sponsored the National Security Education Act of 1991, which established the National Security Education Program.[33][a]
Boren was one of only two Democratic senators to vote in favor of the controversial nomination of Robert Bork to the Supreme Court, in 1987.[34] Boren also decided in 1991 to vote against the Persian Gulf War.[35]
Boren was one of the President Bill Clinton's top choices to replace Les Aspin as a U.S. Secretary of Defense in 1994. However, Clinton selected William J. Perry instead.[36]
In a controversial public mea culpa in a New York Times Op/Ed piece, Boren expressed regret over his vote to confirm Supreme Court Associate Justice Clarence Thomas.
Partly as a result of that statement, The Daily Oklahoman, the largest newspaper in Oklahoma, which had encouraged and endorsed Boren's entire career, began intensely criticizing him.
_________
As chairman of the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Boren was instrumental in building consensus and bipartisan support for the U.S. State Department initiatives to promote democracy abroad which helped lead to the release of Nelson Mandela.
Boren was praised and received a standing ovation led by Mandela at a special broadcast of ABC News Nightline with Ted Koppel, which commemorated Mandela's historic release from prison in South Africa.
Boren is regarded as a mentor to former director of Central Intelligence George Tenet from his days as chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee.[45] On the morning of September 11, 2001, Boren and Tenet were having breakfast together when Tenet was called away to respond to the terror attacks.[46]
Boren said that in the weeks before the Iraq War began in March 2003, he warned Tenet that since he was not a member of President George W. Bush’s closest circle of advisers, the White House would make him the scapegoat if things went badly in Iraq. "I told him they had your name circled if anything goes wrong," Boren recalls telling Tenet.
n June 2007, conservative political columnist Robert Novak claimed that Boren had met with New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg to discuss a possible third-party presidential campaign.
Bloomberg had recently left the Republican Party, and speculation arose that he discussed the possibility of Boren joining him as a running mate.[48]
However, on April 18, 2008, Boren endorsed the leading Democratic candidate, Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois.
___________
n March 2015, a recording was made public of members of the University of Oklahoma's Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity singing a racially derogatory song which used the word "nigger" and included reference to lynching and racial segregation.
As university president, Boren appeared widely in US media and condemned the behavior, expelled two student members of the fraternity, and with the fraternity's national headquarters' help, ordered the OU chapter's closure. He also created a mandatory Diversity Training for the whole campus."
_____________
On February 13, 2019, it was reported that the University of Oklahoma had hired the Jones Day law firm to investigate Boren after allegations of his "serious" misconduct arose at the university. The university and specifically the OU Board of Regents declined to specify whether the investigation was actually of Boren, or to specify its start or projected end date, instead referring to it generally as an ongoing personnel investigation.[58]
The investigation purportedly sought to determine whether Boren sexually harassed male aides during his tenure as president.
The allegations arose from a Fall 2010 Boren fundraising trip to Houston in a private jet and hotel events afterward"

Joan Finney of Kansas
Joan Finney (February 12, 1925 – July 28, 2001) was an American politician who served as the 42nd Governor of Kansas from 1991 to 1995, the first woman to hold that office. She had previously served four terms as the Kansas State Treasurer from 1975 to 1991, the first woman to hold that office as well

After upsetting former Governor John W. Carlin in the 1990 Democratic primary for governor, Finney defeated incumbent Republican Mike Hayden in the general election becoming the first woman to defeat an incumbent governor in a general election in the United States.
In addition to being the State of Kansas's first female governor, Finney was Kansas' first Roman Catholic governor, and also one of the few pro-life Democratic governors of her time.
Taking office at age 65, she was also Kansas' oldest governor until Laura Kelly was inaugurated at age 68 in 2019.

Critics have taken HRC to task for its working environment. In the fall of 2014, HRC commissioned outside consultants to conduct a series of focus groups and surveys with the organization's staff.
In the report, which was obtained by BuzzFeed, staff of the organization described the working environment at HRC as "judgmental", "exclusionary", "sexist", and "homogenous". The report stated that "Leadership culture is experienced as homogenous — gay, white, male."
In 1992, HRC endorsed a presidential candidate for the first time, Bill Clinton. In March 1993, HRC began a new project, National Coming Out Day. From January 1995 until January 2004, Elizabeth Birch served as the executive director of the HRC. Under her leadership, the institution more than quadrupled its membership to 500,000 members.[12]
In 1995, the organization dropped the word "Fund" from its name, becoming the Human Rights Campaign
*******So, Wikipedia omits Terry Bean.
Terrence Patrick Bean is an American political fundraiser, a civil rights activist, and a pioneer of the LGBT rights movement.
He is known for co-founding several national LGBT rights organizations, including the Human Rights Campaign
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terry_Bean
he late 1970s saw a rash of successful anti-gay ballot measures around the country. Realizing that their state-by-state efforts were failing, leaders of the gay and lesbian rights movement decided to focus their efforts on the national level. This led to the founding by Terry Bean and others of the Gay Rights National Lobby (GRNL) and the Human Rights Campaign Fund (HRCF), two groups which later merged to become the Human Rights Campaign (HRC).[2][4][5][9][10]
Bean was the primary fundraiser for GRNL,[7] when it was still a new organization, and created the "GRNL 48", a club of top donors who contributed $1,200 or more per year. In its early history, the group found it difficult to find politicians willing to accept campaign contributions from a gay PAC.[11] The GRNL 48 eventually became the HRC's Federal Club.[2][4]
Bean has been on the Human Rights Campaign's Board of Directors since 1980. He is also a member of its Foundation Board and its Public Policy Committee.[12] and takes part in deciding the organization's political endorsements.[10]
HRC headquarters building
In 2000, the HRC launched its Capitol Campaign to raise the funds to purchase a suitable headquarters in the nation's capital. Bean was a co-chair of this campaign. In 2002, the HRC acquired a medium-rise office building in Washington, DC, from B'nai B'rith International to use as its national headquarters. Joe Solmonese, the Executive Director of HRC, has said that Terry Bean was instrumental in acquiring the building.[5] Elizabeth Birch, the Executive Director of the organization during the time when the building was purchased, believes that Bean's background in real estate was crucial in the purchase. "All of us had very healthy skepticism. Generally, nonprofits do not buy buildings... But there was only one guy in the crowd who said, 'We have to do this. This is historic...' And it was the guy who knew most about Real Estate and that was Terry.
________
"On November 19, 2014, Terry Bean was arrested on charges of sodomy and sex abuse in a case involving a 15-year-old boy, in what Bean's lawyer Kristen Winemiller characterized as an extortion attempt by an ex-lover.[29]
Law enforcement sources said Bean was charged with "two counts of sodomy in the third degree, a felony, and sex abuse in the third degree, a misdemeanor." He was arraigned in Lane County, Oregon, where the crimes allegedly occurred in 2013.[30]
After the case continued for over a year, lawyers for Bean and the youth reached a civil agreement,[31][32] which the judge ultimately rejected.[33] The alleged victim declined to testify, his attorney Lori Deveny stating that "he did not seek out this prosecution and made his unwillingness to testify known at every step of the process".[32] The judge dismissed the case on September 1, 2015 without prejudice.[34][35] In a statement, Bean wrote "I take some measure of comfort that the world now knows what I have always known – that I was falsely accused and completely innocent of every accusation that was made."[35]
On January 4, 2019, Bean was re-indicted on the same charges"

2016 United States presidential endorsement
On January 19, 2016, the Human Rights Campaign's 32-person Board of Directors voted to endorse Hillary Clinton for president.[79] This resulted in considerable controversy,[80][81][82] causing thousands of users on HRC's Facebook page to post comments critical of the decision.[83]
Many cited HRC's own "congressional scorecard" (which records a 100% rating for her rival for the Democratic nomination, Bernie Sanders, while Clinton herself only scores 89%[84]) as inconsistent with their endorsement.[83]
Additional scrutiny was also placed upon the connections Clinton herself has to the organization when it was revealed that HRC's President, Chad Griffin, had previously been employed by Clinton's husband, former US President Bill Clinton.

Eskimo Joe's was opened by Steve File (who came up with the name) and Stan Clark (who later purchased File's interest and became sole owner), two graduates of nearby Oklahoma State University (OSU), on July 21, 1975.
Originally, Eskimo Joe's was only a bar, but when the drinking age was raised from 18 to 21 in 1984, the business became a restaurant as well. The name came from the desire to express that Eskimo Joe's had the coldest beer in town.
The Eskimo Joe logo, featuring the smiling cartoon Eskimo Joe and his slobbering canine friend Buffy, was created in 1975 by a freshman art student at OSU, Bill Thompson. Eskimo Joe T-shirts are reported in the mid 80's to be the second most collected T-shirt in the world, trailing only the Hard Rock Cafe.
In 2005, Sports Illustrated's on-line magazine, SI on Campus, named Eskimo Joe's the third best collegiate sports bar in the U.S.
In 1990, during his commencement speech, President George H. W. Bush endorsed Eskimo Joe's cheese fries.

"Now the Archives has foolishly compromised the public’s sense of its independence, so artfully embedded in its landmark building.
By blurring out details from protest signs in an image of the 2017 Women’s March, including the name of President Trump and references to the female anatomy — a decision the Archives publicly apologized for on Saturday — it has damaged the faith many Americans, particularly women, may have had in its role as an impartial conservator of the nation’s records.

Bleyzer also has ties to Giuliani. In 2008, Bleyzer’s company hired Giuliani’s former Houston-based law firm, Bracewell & Giuliani, to help it acquire and consolidate cable holdings in 16 Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv, according to an announcement at the time. The same year, Bleyzer donated $2,300 to Giuliani’s presidential campaign.

" Giuliani's law firm, Bracewell and Giuliani, is making money by lobbying American lawmakers on behalf of Citgo Petroleum Corp. of Houston.
Citgo is the American subsidiary of Petroleos de Venezuela -- the state-owned Venezuelan oil company.
Bracewell and Giuliani made as much as $150,000 from the lobbying in 2005-06 and will make up to $100,000 this year, according to the ethics commission."

The world's a thousand tongues long,
kneedeepthick.
Memory sings a river of history
tossing our bubbles
Along the horizon until we balance,

the cold autumn encompassing,
Until the newest bestests shirk and shun
The signals creasing evening
Into origami feigning ministers

We ratify and adhere to the codes of barbarism inscribed
On our ignoble gene troughs
When we deign to dabble

jesus glut (1987)
i seen jesus yesterday in an
unemployment line in rural oklahoma. says i,
"hey o golden one, how swings yer staff
of life?" he replied "not so well.
the job applications all ask
for my parent's address. they tell me i'm
overqualified. things do not go well
in this time of oil-glut oklahoma."

god almighty gets out of bed
at 3 a.m. to use the toilet,
he groans and sighs
as beer belly merges with his bladder,
without his glasses on
he trips over beirut and rips his toe off
as he faints from self-pity
his head squashes nicaraguan nuns
just before contras can get them
as he regains consciousness,
some eternity later, takes an aspirin,
& changes his pee-sodden
bikini atoll briefs only to snooze
until the power lunch
set with satan at the lodge
*
jesus hit .999 his first season
as a royals rookie, he played the outfield and first
thru third bases
all was going great until he was indicted
in the largest cocaine scandal in
major league history. he
sat in the dugout and cried that he was
a victim so they made him wear
a dunce hat in the corner& write
"i'm high enuff already" six billion
times in front of the pearly gates
*
god caught jesus smoking a pipe
&ditching school so he made him
whitewash the cliffs of dover
jesus got bored so he conned
millions of falwellians into spreading
his holy rouge
"if only ya give me one a yer women
and a case of yer likker"
*
*jesus went out drinking one night
with his frat buddies he said
"betcha i can piss on that cigarette stub across
the street" and they took him
up on it
he flopped out his vienna sausage and prayed
to dad for a loaner miracle and his
dick became ten cubits long
he cleaned off the sidewalk
and flooded the world, his buddies got on
the ark with him and he passed out the poop scoops
to each and every disciple
*
god took his only son fishing
in a dinky dingy on a lake in lousiana
they put that boat in the water
&fish leapt into the hull
till it was full
then the dynamic duo loaded 'em
into the limo and were driven home
to have servants prepare them
over dinner they cursed
good-naturedly about
"the one that was atheist"\
&fed the bones
to their cats
*
jesus checked the "direct relative of god"
box on his w-2 form which entitled
him to the ideological dibs on the souls of the
next 10 million fetuses born.
the irs called him in for an audit and when they
asked for proper id he pulled out
a stone tablet chiseled in
hebrew with the year zero inscribed
so off to leavenworth to work off a multiple
year sentence for the impersonation of a deity
jesus was ok with the judgement.
"shit, a couple of years ago
they would have nailed my ass to a cross..."
didn't take long for the old man to
cut him loose though. he put
a lightning bolt in an angel food cake.
*
jesus was a latchkey kid,
nevertheless he was well loved. at bedtime
god would rock jesus to sleep
& tell him nitenite stories.
jesus was never tired. he'd
wait for god to go
back to watching monday nite
football or creating new third world miseries,
then he'd get out his gi joe doll
and take off his camo gear and
tie him down with dental
floss and let his play dinosaurs eat his
naked arms

"Criobolium is the ritual sacrifice of a ram in the cult of Attis and the Great Mother of the Gods. It seems to have been a special ceremony instituted after the rise, and on the analogy of the taurobolium, which was performed in honor of the Great Mother, for the purpose of giving fuller recognition to Attis in the duality which he formed with the Mother."

NRA a Foreign Asset for Russia running Ads on the Washington Post
NRA ad on the Washington Post, 1-6-20
"Biden wants 9mm Handgun Ban."
Why is the Jeff Bezos's Washington Post taking NRA money and publishing DISHONEST, UNTRUE, PROPAGANDA "ads" from the NRA?
INDIANAPOLIS (Reuters) - Retired U.S. Marine Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North will step down as president of the National Rifle Association, North said on Saturday, adding he was being forced out due to his allegations that NRA leaders engaged in financial improprieties.
North, a conservative commentator best known for his central role in the 1980s Iran-Contra affair, said he had hoped to run for re-election when his term ends on Monday.
“I am now informed that will not happen,” North said in the letter."
"North, long a hero to some on the political right, was convicted in 1989 of three felonies related to the Iran-Contra affair, but his convictions were overturned on appeal in 1990."

_____________
"WASHINGTON — The National Rifle Association acted as a “foreign asset” for Russia in the run-up to the 2016 election, and NRA insiders provided access to the American political system to advance personal business interests, a Democratic senator charged Friday in a new report.
The report by Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden, the top Democrat on the Senate Finance Committee, also said NRA leaders may have violated tax laws that prohibit use of organization resources for personal benefit. The committee oversees tax laws that apply to the NRA as a non-profit organization.
“During the 2016 election, Russian nationals effectively used the promise of lucrative personal business opportunities to capture the NRA and gain access to the American political system,” Wyden said in a statement. “The totality of evidence uncovered during my investigation, as well as the mounting evidence of rampant self-dealing, indicate the NRA may have violated (U.S.) tax laws.”
